Week 1 and we have GOOD results! I lost 2.7 pounds and now weigh 167.3! I actually thought I was going to have a weight gain this week since this diet actually let me eat, and I had just come off the Cabbage Soup week of starvation. 🙂 Yes I stayed FULL and I lost weight. CRAZY! I am not officially a ‘shredder’ yet, but I am hooked enough to move into week 2 and I am looking forward to it!
This week is the Challenge week. So I am a little nervous out the gate because that sounds like its going to be pretty strict, and I have a natural impulse to rebel. The changes are subtle and I am really happy to see that I still get to eat 4 meals and 3 snacks a day. This week I really have to watch the calories in my snacks and my soups and smoothies. I am not a fan of calorie counting! I actually COMPLETELY HATE IT! To make this easier on me and aid my success I already got my snacks separated out into little baggies and made a bowl of 100 calorie snacks. I also had to make a drawer in the fridge as well. I know I suggested this last week, but it is seriously the reason I was able to have a loss of almost 3 pounds. Convenience is everything. If it wasn’t, you wouldn’t think about driving through Taco Bell, Chik Fil A, McDonalds, hell even grabbing a yummy 8 million calorie venti white chocolate mocha from Starbucks! Now don’t go get in the car, sit your crazy butt down just like me and reach for a bag of yogurt dipped pretzels that are conveniently waiting for you in your snack bowl…and only eat ONE BAG! 🙂
Don’t forget the importance of working out. I know I focus a lot on the food aspects of my weight loss but I am making sure I do 1 hour of cardio 5 days a week and the other 2 I make sure to hit my 10,000 steps that day. I am a fat kid at heart, and that is probably why I focus on food. I love to eat, if I didn’t there would be no reason for the diet! I know first hand how hard it is to control the fat little angel wearing horns on your left shoulder. But the skinny Victorias Secret angel on your right shoulder with wings and a halo is the one you want to feed (and she doesn’t like Twinkies)! So keep your head on and focus on what you want! I will not be happy until I can comfortable fit into everything in my closet. I am probably about 17 pounds and a flat tummy from that! Will that make me look like the so-called ‘fitmom’? Hell no! Will it make me happy? Hell yes! So figure out your happiness and dammit keep striving to get there, then you will probably open up a door with more happiness to strive for! 🙂
Great job! Keep rockin’ it, girl. We’re here with ya 😉
So proud of you! I know you will do this. I have witnessed it in your past.
How excited! Keep up the awesome work 🙂
