Thanksgiving was a mission fail!  I underate dinner, overate dessert, and drank until I didn’t care! LOL!  AND I LOVED IT! Our command Holiday Party, I mostly drank a bit much, left before embarrassing myself – thank you hubby – but had to buy a new dress because my go to LBD (little black dress) had to be replaced with a WIFIMLBDD (Wish I Fit In My Little Black Dress Dress).  But I had great shoes, and they fit perfectly! 🙂  This Thursday we have another command outing at one of my favorite local spots and I am prepared to again enjoy a cocktail or two, eat mostly appetizers, and fit into an outfit that says yes I am enjoying my Holidays thank you very much! i.e. loose fitting shirt to hide my muffin top, cute pants and heels that I will regret wearing 15 minutes into the evening.  🙂  FUN!  Saturday is my daughters first birthday party.  We have a pinata, candy bar, two layer cake, appetizers, and theme punch.  Yes, unavoidable overindulgence is in my future.  Don’t need a magic 8 ball for that baby!

Today I caught myself in the mirror saying well, December is a wash.  I guess I will just behave like a glutton until the new year.  Seriously wanted to slap my reflection!  What a terrible attitude!  I know that I cannot win the battle over all the deliciousness that is packed into the last quarter of the year.  So I am not going to fight it.  I am going to enjoy it.  I am the QUEEN of fad diets and new exercise regimes and quick ways to drop a few pounds or lose a few inches.  They never work for long, so where is the satisfaction in that?!  Its time to get back in the routine and start small.  I WILL go to bed early-ish (10 or so), get up early by 6am and get my butt in the gym to work out.  This I can do and at least every morsel of delicious empty calorie food I eat and every sip of empty calorie filled adult beverage I drink will be worked off in the morning.  I have tried this a MILLION times and when I stick to it…IT WORKS!  Why do I stop?  Cause its not easy to get up and workout every morning.  So this week I will work out 3 mornings.  Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday.  I will save my fad diets, new gadgets, and cleanses for 2014.  The rest of 2013, lets just get a few workouts in a week and fricking enjoy the food frenzy!! 🙂
